Being DIscipline
This is one of the most challenging decision a person can make and something many people struggle with , reason is to due to the obstacles around us that promises instant reward which competes with the choice of being disciplined.
choosing to be among those that refuses to be controlled by impulses is a tough but yet intentional decision which many people will neglect due to it’s delayed gratification. Naturally as humans we are all wired with desires and needs and if possible we often seek to fulfill them with little or no effort. nowadays people have become so obsessed with what’s not of their possession and undervaluing what they have at hand. that’s one of the triggers that leads to regrettable future decisions, unwillingness to go through rightful process but arriving at a destination just like in a blink of an eye.
First perspective: A person aiming at loosing weight is expected to watch what they eat and exercise regularly but it only takes discipline to arrive at that destination and this is due to the temptation that blocks that possibility, when the urge to try out a hamburger one last time keeps reocurring nonstop, the courage to go to the gym is lacking, the energy to get things done when necessary isn’t existing. All these will definitely resist a person from experiencing their desirable goals.
Becoming disciplined directs our minds to focus on what truly matters while diverting our attention from what is draining and disastrous to us. it’s becoming a normal thing nowadays seeing people chase after the wrong things and still question the outcome of their choices. Without discipline it’s easy to be led astray, the impulse to react often rises with more force than the strength required to resist it. that’s one of the reason people struggling with addiction find it difficult to let go even when it begins to cause harm to their health or life in general. being disciplined will have you in control of your mind even when there is a strong push to react to something.
So many people are so emotional to the point that they are unable to control themselves and always respond outwardly based on how they feel inside. when they get angry, they break things and are very much capable of causing havoc which leads them to regrets after exhibiting those behaviours causing damages that goes beyond repair and at the end blame the devil for being the cause of their actions.
Another example is financial indiscipline: many people, after a long season of waiting on God for blessings, finally receive them and then begin to think about flaunting their resources instead of focusing on how to use them for something meaningful and purposeful, another is lust, and a lot more which i would love to shed more light on in my upcoming post.
Benefits of being disciplined
Clarity : Being disciplined opens our eyes to things that remain hidden when we view life through ordinary lenses. One reason many people struggle to believe in what they cannot see, for example, atheists who do not believe in God, is their inability to perceive beyond the physical. Achieving such understanding requires the clarity that discipline cultivates, a clarity that elevates our mind to a higher level of awareness. for someone seeking for a transformative idea, practicing discipline makes it easy to access creative thoughts that wouldn’t be imagined without discipline
Self control : Discipline makes it difficult for a person to give in to fleeting desires, those stimuli that comes and goes if not indulged. The main aim of such urges is to make a person submit to them, weakening their resistance so that they can return later and ultimately enslave the individual completely.
something anyone shouldn’t permit in ruling their lives.
Confidence: discipline gives a higher level of confidence that goes beyond appearance or physical attributes, it molds the mind to become unshaken by the forces that surrounds us. A person who lacks discipline easily conforms to the standards of the world because their resistance is limited, leaving them vulnerable to constant influence and manipulation.
As a person discipline will make you uncontrollable to the forces that controls this world. it would give you freedom to be able to see the version of yourself that many people can only wish they could ever be.
You decide what you do with your time and more willing to act on it
You hear more clearly from God
You Discern, You become different from everyone
We would talk about the life of a Discipline one as time goes
For now i would like to say thanks for you time, for you to have come this far it signifies you found this valuable to you as a person
